Taste Beyond Borders – Medieval Food and Drink
What did people in the European Middle Ages eat and drink? A restauranteur and a historian from the UK will offer a guide to medieval food, wine and beer. Andy Hook, owner of Blackfriars Restaurant, Newcastle, and Giles Gasper, a medieval specialist, will introduce wines, spiced, cold-filtered, iron-heated; beers, unhopped, hopped, flavored with spices and herbs, and a range of culinary dishes from medieval Europe. Come and enjoy a taste of the past.
